You can leave a response, or trackback from your own site.
I have been to the MOUNTAINTOP! And I have looked down UPON the land of the World Wide WEB-huh! And I have found a young man who understands the GOOD WORD-huh!
He has created a site whereby it is all EXPLAINED in a way that you all can follow along and become CONVERTED if you are not already! Let us all look upon this great creation and LEARN-huh!
Let us all cast our gazes upon this week’s Cool Site: IDevs, by Jamie Lewis-huh!

This little girl is clearly a convert
Jamie Hath Started the Revolution!
Inded, this young 19-year-old wunderkind has started the REVOLUTION-huh! He will, with some help from people who understand his good word, convert those web designers who choose to SIN to the path of the LIGHT-huh!
Let us read his Good Word together, from Enough With Ignorant Web Developers:
Ok, I have had enough!
- Enough with the crappy pre-made templates
- Enough with the table based layouts
- Enough with the Ajax first - accessibility later mentality
- Enough with the “i use dreamweaver†crowd.
- Enough with the buy now, sell in 2 days domain name culture
- Enough with the search engine optimisation “companiesâ€.
- Enough with Page Rank blindness.
- Enough with the no content sites
- Enough with the Ignorant web developers!
Can I PLEASE get an Amen and a Hallelujah! Enough, indeed! Especially the “I use Dr*amw*av*r” crowd! Let us cast our computers AWAY from the Macromediadobe SIN-huh!
We should also pray for the souls of those who fill the web with regurgitated crap and no real CONTENT, no ORIGINALITY, no INSPIRATION-huh! Let us be INSPIRED by this young man and his QUEST for web spirituALity!
Let us also convert those who still insist on tabular layouts to the glory of tableless, clean, standards-compliant CODE-huh!
But wait…there’s more!
Jamie is an I-Follower
Jamie Lewis is very wise beyond his years! He preaches the good word of I-FOLLOW-huh!
I am all for this, it is about time bloggers trusted their readers, of course a few people will try to exploit it, but that is what moderation is about!
Mmmm hmmm HMMMMMMMMMM! Jamie will put his trust in thee, his followers (who will grow exponentially as others realize the genius of this young man).
And still, there’s MORE!
Jamie Can Teach!
Those who do not understand about Accessibility can read his wonderful 8 Steps to An Accessible Site post. This is not only a great set of guidelines for an accessible site, it’s a great set of guidelines for a PROFITABLE site-huh!
Jamie Also Preaches the Social Bookmarking Spam Word
Jamie understands that even social bookmarking sites with vigilant communities such as Digg are fraught with SINNERS! He sees the evil SPAM-huh and the “social bookmarking submissions” that go on every day, and he has >spoken out against it!
Let us all read together and take heed of his good WORD-huh! Go back, visit daily, comment, learn, and BECOME ONE with his Good Word!

Good choice for the site of the week. You and I only know of Jamie for a short time, but he has made a very good impression in a very short amount of time hasn’t he?

He sure has…and no one can say the things he’s saying without having some knowledge. He’s not just paying lip service. He preaches the Good Word and he follows the path!

I’m an I-Follower at heart, too - I just have to figure out how to reimplement it now that I switched to WordPress. But yeah, it means extra work actually reading your comments. Isn’t that the point of having a blog? I bet you could pound this site out a lot quicker in Dreamweaver-huh but that comes without comments and trackbacks and pings oh my!

It’s not all that difficult to reimplement, John…all you have to do is find where rel=’external nofollow’ is in your code and yank it out (alternatively, I wrote a post on how to do so).
